Tin Snip Straight & Tight cuts Right – Green handle
Tin snips are hand-held cutting tools, also known as shears.
Designed to cut sheet metal:
Aluminium – 1.6mm
Cold rolled sheet metal – 1.2mm
Galvanised sheet metal – 1.2mm
Stainless steel – 0.7mm
There are various snips available, depending on the cutting style:
Yellow handle – Straight cuts and wide curves
Red handle – Straight cuts and tight curves to the left
Green handle – Straight cuts and tight curves to the right
